While a company may boast about how great its products are, the more you brag, the less likely you are to gain the trust of your audience. Instead, good copy shows that consumers, not salespeople, are thinking about the product and solving the problem the user is facing. You want your readers to keep reading, so you write each sentence so that it logically leads to the next. Almost everyone at some point longs to belong to a group or community. Finding a brand or business that a consumer feels comfortable with provides an important sense of calm, security, and community. For example, MINI Cooper owners feel like they are part of a unique group, often found in car clubs around the world. The car itself is a statement and, for many, a marker of belonging to a certain group of people.

Another way to enhance the sense of belonging is exclusivity. The choice of words to convey the image of the “uniqueness” of the content is extremely important and can include expressions such as “being an insider” or “getting exclusive offers.” The “uniqueness” strategy makes customers feel like they are part of a special group with special privileges.

Whatever strategies you employ when creating content, the main thing to remember is that copywriting is the production of content aimed at persuading the reader to take a specific action. Whatever text or script you create, it is important to remember this main goal.
