Consumers reading a newspaper on a tablet, smartphone or desktop computer spend between 52 and 54 minutes per copy. Reading on paper, the time spent increases to 1 hour and 40 minutes . It is obvious that advertising is better received in such an environment. A medium that conveys information rather than mere entertainment has an equally positive effect. In such formats, an advertisement is on average perceived by around a third more people than in media that serve only to entertain.
