A study reflects changes in consumer habits

Selligent Marketing Cloud has conducted a study with the participation of 5,000 consumers from different parts of the world to measure how their needs have changed over this period.

According to the research, named “ The Connected Consumer 2020” , the rise chinese overseas british database of teleworking will force the adoption of different communication and promotion strategies.

Up to 75% of respondents have suffered negative repercussions, both in their employment and income, a factor that has a direct impact on consumer spending , with their savings being reserved for essential online purchases. “However, consumers are shopping more often than before, and welcome messages proposing promotions and offers on the items that best suit their needs,” the study indicates.

The factors to consider when choosing a product have also changed. Half of the participants in the study indicated that the quality of the product or service and its prices are the “factors of loyalty” . Free products and reward systems can also improve the reputation of the brand.

The study highlights the importance of avoiding information overload and warns that 55% of respondents have unsubscribed from a brand's email services : "Customers care about the type of information they receive from brands, and it is clear that brands have to do what is necessary to offer messages that are authentic and do not seem forced."
