As her interest grew, Pooja began following WordPress news on social media and, after learning about WordPress-focused conferences, she attended her first WordCamp in Ahmedabad, India. many of whom spoke about their professional journeys and how WordPress has impacted their lives. “One of the most inspiring sessions was by Rahul Bansal,” recalls Pooja. From this talk, she learned how people contribute to WordPress and participate in the community, and how they grow as professionals in the process.
This inspired Pooja to contribute to WordPress development and some time later she and her husband, Ananda Upadhyaya, created Meetup Ajmer , bringing together and supporting WordPress users in their hometown.
At the next WordCamp Pooja attended, she participated in the Contributor day, which is designed for users who want to contribute to WordPress, the open-source platform, and its global community.
