When working with Figma, have you ever wanted to organize your layers?
In this article, we will explain how to organize layers efficiently using Figma's default functions and plugins.
Bulk rename layers
First, let's try using the function to change layer names all at once.

Select all the layers you want to change and open a window with 『Command』+『R』
. This time, we will assign consecutive numbers like

Enter "box" in the "Name after change" field and then click "Number ↑"
. Then "box$nn" will be entered.
There is a preview on the left, so check italy b2b leads if it has been properly reflected. If there are no problems , select "Change name"
on the bottom right .

If you check the layers, you can see that they have been properly renamed to "box01, box02, box03, etc."
Reordering layers
Next, we will rearrange the layers that we just assigned consecutive numbers to in order of their consecutive numbers.
This time, we will use a plugin called " Sorter " .
mi005_4
Select all the layers you want to organize and click "Alphabetical Dsc. (Z→A)"
. This will align the scattered layers in sequential order.
mi005_5
This time, we added auto layout, so when the order of layers is changed, the position of the boxes is automatically changed.
In the above example, we used the Replace Alphabetical Order function to sort the consecutive numbers in ascending order, but you can also sort them in descending order or randomly.
summary
Organized layers improve the visibility of the entire project and reduce mistakes.
Please try it out and experience the efficiency of your design!
