Food being the most basic thing for all of humanity, there are those who say that starting a business in this field is halfway to a successful project. And even more so when healthy differentials are included in its preparation, which are essential today.
Always open-minded and fans of successful recipes, sharks Alejandro Litchi, Amaury Vergara, Jorge Vergara and Marisa Lazo welcomed university students Karla and Carolina and nutritionist Darcet in this thirteenth episode of Shark Tank. Karla and Carolina created Maíx Pak'ik and Darcet is the founder of Healthy Fork, businesses that, in addition to flavor, add value and pleasure to customers.
Are we going to enjoy them?
Maíx Pak´ik. A good snack for health and society.
Karla Alva and Carolina Arroyo are co-founders of Maíx Pak'ik , a company that seeks to generate opportunities for young people through the sale of a snack with better nutritional quality made with puffed corn, gluten-free and sugar-free.
What inspired them to create the project was a relevant social fact: more than half of young Mexicans do not have a job, either due to a lack of experience, knowledge or tools. The public began to find in this business model the opportunity to develop themselves, both professionally and personally, and continue earning income.
Digitally speaking, Maíx Pak'ik frequents social media and also has a website netherland business email list where she can make herself better known, in addition to making online sales.
Partners see this presence as very beneficial due to greater accessibility and broader market coverage. They also consider that the website conveys more formality to the business and more security to customers, since they, when purchasing snacks, will find the list of flavors with the appropriate presentations, simply choosing the desired quantity, placing it in the cart and after payment, the order will be automatically prepared for delivery at home.

Like most entrepreneurs, Karla and Carolina believe that having a presence on the Internet is not expensive and, given the options and resources that can be used today, it represents much more benefit than cost. “It is totally an investment,” she adds, pointing out that during the pandemic, that presence connected them more than ever and in this way, they were able to approach customers to serve them without complications.

Having a professional email is the next step. That way, the sharks don't get away.
Although they do not yet have an email with the brand domain , since they will obtain it through a scholarship at the university, they believe in this tool as another advantage for the company, mainly due to the direct communication they will have with customers. In this way, they will be able to transmit not only information, but mainly confidence in a formal and professional business.
As for advice to future entrepreneurs willing to come to the tank, Carolina recommends that they prepare well and, even with nervousness, enjoy this incredible experience that transforms people after meeting the sharks who will surely welcome those who listen to Karla's suggestion regarding digital resources:
“If they make use of these tools, technology will undoubtedly catapult our businesses.”
Healthy Fork. The no-restrictions food app.
Darcet Preciat developed Healthy Fork , an app that helps people achieve long-term healthy habits. As the only app that provides accurate information about restaurant dishes, it allows you to eat pizzas and burgers to achieve the desired results.
The idea came from her practice. As a nutritionist, Darcet discovered that her patients had a hard time sticking to these healthy habits for a long time, as they always associated the word diet with restriction and punishment. And to eradicate certain barriers, especially on weekends, she created Healthy Fork.
When asked why she thought of an app, the entrepreneur explains.

Initially, they had recommended a website, but she ruled it out because it is not an e-commerce, but a service. She then launched an MVP and tested it, based on the fact that an application, being always at hand, allows for a faster response - which was her goal. And at a time when digitalisation is super important and menus are accessed through QR codes, Darcet believes that it is the ideal time to reach her audience.
