Old "List": Random ideas in a Google Doc.
Goal: Create a structured list (pipeline) of product ideas with status, estimated effort, and potential impact.
Tools Used: Google Sheets,
Steps Taken (May 10th - May 20th):
Structured Template (Week 2, Day 3-4):
Action: Sarah created a new Google Sheet named "Product Idea Pipeline." Columns included: brother cell phone list Idea Name, Category, Brief Description, Status (Proposed, Researching, Design, Prototype, Ready), Estimated Effort (Low, Medium, High), Potential Impact (Low, Medium, High), Date Proposed, Notes.
"LIST TO DATA" Principle: Defined Structure. Clearly outlining what data points were needed for each idea.
Idea Migration & Scoring (Week 2, Day 5 - Week 3, Day 2):
Action: Sarah systematically went through the old Google Doc. For each idea, she manually copied it and filled in the relevant columns in her new "Product Idea Pipeline" sheet.
Action: She added two simple helper columns: Effort Score (e.g., 1 for Low, 3 for High) and Impact Score (e.g., 1 for Low, 3 for High). Then, a Priority Score column calculated as Impact Score - Effort Score.
"LIST TO DATA" Principle: Consistent Data Entry, Value Addition through Calculation.
Visualization & Prioritization (Week 3, Day 3-4):
Action: Sarah used Google Sheets' sorting feature to sort by Priority Score (descending) and Status. She also applied Conditional Formatting to highlight high-priority items.
"LIST TO DATA" Principle: Data Visualization for Decision Making.
