Community management is not yet mature, but is becoming increasingly professional. This can be concluded based on the results of an online survey conducted among Dutch community managers. With this research, the professional association Community Management Nederland wanted to map out the Dutch market for community management.
The research
The survey investigated how community managers view matters such as tasks and activities, training needs and level, salary, opportunities & threats and successes. A total of 94 community managers participated in the research, which ran from September 2011 to November 2011.
With 94 Respondents (of the estimated 400+ community managers brother cell phone list in the Netherlands) an attempt was made to ensure the representativeness of the research as much as possible. In addition, there are a number of large (successful) business communities in the Netherlands, which unfortunately are not represented in the research by the responsible community managers. The results of the research should mainly be interpreted as indicative.
Communities are not only seen as important by community managers themselves. The organizations that set up communities also clearly attach importance to the initiatives they undertake. As many as 89% of respondents say that the organization considers its community important to very important.
