Hauwa has maintained a love for project management and education, earning qualifications in the field including Prince 2 and PMP. She remains committed to the idea of continuous learning in her current work with Agile and other methodologies, and finds a connection between her work and her passion for education.
Keen to support the local community in the UK, Hauwa joined the London WordPress Meetup and in 2019 became an organiser of WordCamp London, where she used her project management experience. During these events, she gave many talks, encouraging others to develop their IT skills and sharing her own experiences.
This interest in raising the skill level of others whatsapp number list naturally led her to further involvement with Make WordPress teams . Inspired by the idea of sharing her skills with others, she joined the Training Team on Contributor Day during WordCamp. The team is working to build an online platform, Learn , that allows people to learn the software and keep their knowledge up to date, as well as learn how to build a community in their area. Hauwa believes that accessibility is key, so she has spent a lot of time working through the documentation to improve understanding. She believes this is necessary to truly provide people with accessible information and identify where more work is needed. Her belief in this was only reinforced when she joined the Accessibility Team for the WordPress 5.6 release, and contributed to the documentation and educational materials.
Hauwa has dedicated many hours to supporting the Training Team over the years, convinced that the right resources can truly help communities around the world use open source software. She also stresses the importance of making the materials user-friendly and easily translatable, as the WordPress project is global in scope.
